Hidden

The experiences that I lived during my childhood and adolescence, are the leading direction that my projects are based on. The Mexican and German culture are two worlds that influenced my beliefs and cultural understanding, that lead me to question contemporary societies, the way in which certain socio-political beliefs are practiced, their truth and reality and the illusion that may be behind a concept.

Hidden is part of the project that is called by the same Namen. This project reflects that substantial circumstance in life that continuously puts all of us out there to face our biggest fears or concerns. It's the need to be safe, to feel safe within a society and a group of people that surrounds us. We finally keep going somewhere, and many of the individuals try to play safe, trying to go step by step, to risk as little as possible, to stay in a safe area; to be healthy, to have money, to have family and friends that care for us.

This behaviour is a primary necessity but many people can't afford to feel fear. They are forced to confront danger every day, they have to face their reality until there comes a point when it becomes the usual, the daily life, and being able to dodge these moments, becomes a privilege.
